PICEA Softwood stain WN / WNS (colour tone)

PICEA Softwood Stain WN creates brilliantly clear stain patterns with a positive effect. The dark growth rings of the softwood are enhanced in color.

PICEA Softwood Stains WNS, on the other hand, also contain pigments for white to pastel shades under PUR varnishes. These latest-generation dyes produce bright but light-stable stain patterns.

PICEA softwood stains from the WN and WNS (color tone) series can be used under solvent-based, lightfast lacquer systems.

Areas of application

PICEA positive stains are used on European softwoods like pine, fir and larch. A significantly positive effect is achieved on sanded, brushed and hewn wood, just as desired on interior fittings and in furniture making.

Processing information	Apply lightly and evenly by spraying without spreading. Do not forcibly dry. Stir stains well before and during processing.
Special notes	Soap resinous woods (e.g. pine, Carolina pine) before staining. All stains in the same series can be mixed with each other.

Procedure example

Wall unit in spruce/fir, matt finish

Wood type: spruce/fir

Stain: 1 x 50 g/m² (well moistened!) Hesse PICEA softwood stain WN 20103

Drying time: > 4 hours / 20 °C

Primer: 1 x 100 - 130 g/m² FANTASTIC-CLEAR DE 4877x (gloss level), mixing ratio (volumetric) 10 : 1 with PUR hardener DR 4071, addition of 10 - 20 % DV 4900 based on the paint/hardener mixture

Intermediate drying: 2 h / 20 °C

Intermediate sanding: 320 - 400 grit (dust removal)

Final coating: 1 x 100 - 130 g/m² FANTASTIC-CLEAR DE 4877x(gloss level), mixing ratio (volumetric) 10 : 1 with PUR hardener DR 4071, addition of 10 - 20 % DV 4900 based on the paint/hardener mixture Ready for packaging: after at least 16 hours / 20 °C
